David Antonio is one of those artists with an enviable imagination, and seeks only one thing: beauty. He is also an inveterate dreamer who goes mad with the traditions of distant countries that are not quite on par with what some call progress and technology.
His most recent collection “Bhutan” will be presented at the Caribe Hilton Hotel on Thursday, September 24th at 7:00 pm as part of the distinguished re-launching of the La Rotisserie, a space where the most important fashion shows of the 1990s occurred.
For this occasion, David Antonio was immersed in the magical kingdom of Bhutan, a small country in South Asia with a dramatic topography led by the Himalayan mountains. Bhutan is not an ordinary country. It is small in size but enormous in landscapes, culture, color and above all, they maintain a vision of respect for animals, nature, and human relations, which is a priority for the designer.
“I read that Bhutan was one of the happiest countries in the world and became interested in learning more about them,” said the designer. “… I find that the way they love life, colors and even the way they dress relate to me.”
The hairstyles are a creation of Alis Tavarez ; makeup design is Fernando Rodriguez. Accessories are by Sonia Bonilla, La Lilly, Eva Guadalupe and a new line including handbags, bracelets and brooches created by David Antonio himself. This event is by invitation only and there are limited spaces. For more information contact (787 ) 727-3885 .
